The owners of this heritage home went to Africa for 12 months and we took care of their beautiful home overlooking the Gibsons marina, a quaint village north of Vancouver, BC, Canada. We were busy with an abundant garden, deer that always found a way in, and a black bear that couldn't resist the compost pile. We loved this town so much we now live here! An 18 hole golf course and we're sitting at the 9th tee...
A recently widowed home owner wanted to spend his winter in Hawaii as he did every year with his wife. We didn't play any golf but the neighborhood had it's share of mostly lap dogs. A million dollar view over the Christmas holidays...
We were only here briefly -- 10 days over the Christmas holidays -- but the views across the vineyards, the wineries and the lake were divine. A loveable furry friend with an unexpected episode...
This couple went to Montreal to attend their daughter's wedding and left us with keys... and their aging Golden Retriever. We were alerted to Maggie's epileptic seizures but not to worry since she hadn't had one for over a year. Guess what? She did and we were ready. Caring for someone pet always brings a heightened sense of responsibility. Vernon, British Columbia Canada

Our furry friends...
When you grow up with pets -- dogs, cats, fish, birds and reptiles -- you bond with animals at an early age. They are part of your world and you participate in their life cycle, from birth to death. We both have extensive experiences with household pets. Luke also lived on an organic farm for 15 years and did his chores with everything from chickens to goats and horses.
